HRLA Gives Feedback on Draft Eighth Periodic Report on CEDAW

The Aoteoroa New Zealand Human Rights Lawyers Association (HRLA) welcomes the opportunity to provide feedback on New Zealand’s draft Eighth Periodic Report on the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women.  As detailed in the Report, laudable progress towards the equality of women and girls has been made since New Zealand’s last Periodic Report in 2012, but more work remains to be done. Below we point to areas in the draft Report where further comments from the Government could assist the Committee.
